Once the outdoor cooking season kicks off, it only makes sense to combine avocados and tomatoes with the smoky sweet flavors of charred sweet corn and bacon. You’ve been forewarned, this guacamole will be on heavy rotation.

1/2 red apple, cored and sliced 1 large banana, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces kebab 1 tbsp orange or lemon juice 1 large watermelon wedge, peeled, deseeded and cut into small chunks 1 melon wedge, such as Ogen or Galia, peeled, deseeded and cut into small chunks 8 fresh strawberries 2 tsp clear honey


1 Preheat the grill to high and line the grill rack with foil. Brush the apple and banana with the orange or lemon juice. 2 Thread the melon, apple, banana and strawberries onto 4 kebab sticks or presoaked wooden skewers and place on the grill rack. 3 Drizzle with the honey then grill for 5-6 minutes, turning the kebabs over halfway through cooking. Serve while warm.
